It's a wrap - decorated van hits the road

A UK artist known for her expressive paintings has been enlisted by South West Water (SWW) to design their new customer van.

The eye-catching vehicle, designed by Devon-based Anna Fitzgerald, is touring the region wrapped in artwork celebrating iconic landmarks from across Devon and Cornwall, including Powderham Castle, Plymouth Hoe and Lands’ End. It also celebrates the cider orchards and wartime dugouts that can be found in the region.

“I’m a passionate community artist and love collaborating with businesses who want to engage the public in new and imaginative ways," said Fitzgerald. "The South West region has such a unique spirit, which is why working with South West Water on this great opportunity was a truly fun and explorative process for us all.”

The van, which will be visiting various locations, will give customers the opportunity to meet water experts to ask any questions and discover more about SWW’s plans for local improvement.

Dani Twelvetree, head of customer communication and engagement at SWW, said, We are very excited to introduce our customer van, which gives us a chance to meet with our customers and for our team of passionate colleagues to connect with people face to face, understand their priorities and learn more about what matters most to them.

“Since December, we’ve met with around 650 customers at 15 community roadshows, from the coasts of Cornwall to the heart of Devon."
