The real story of water

Did you know you're reading a world first?

That's right, Make Water Famous is the first ever (that we know of) global positive news platform dedicated solely to water. It is the initiative of founder Natasha Wiseman, who has worked in water journalism and communications for over 15 years.

And she just loves water.

Natasha grew up knowing that water is about the most important thing in the world, and is passionate about revealing its place in all our lives through stories.

"Water has an image problem. We often hear about negatives like flooding, pollution and drought and it can make us feel disconnected and disempowered. Thankfully, there are also many incredible innovations and collaborations happening across the world to tackle these big issues - and we want to celebrate and share them."

Make Water Famous is more than a website and social media channels - it offers real-world water experiences too, including creative community and educational outreach programmes.

We are already delivering song-writing workshops about water and planning a global programme of workshops about water communications for university students in journalism and science & engineering. As a not-for profit, we love generating our own good news too.

We are very excited to see what happens as we bring people together to learn, share and participate in this mission. Thank you for joining us.
